In cooperation with the Museum of Art DeLand, the Fall Festival of the Arts DeLand was proud to sponsor speakers in the spring and summer of 2021 to educate patrons and other art lovers. Our focus has been a series exploring Black art, artists, and art history. Here are the speakers we welcomed in 2021:

Lauren Austin, the 2021 Festival Featured Artist, is a mixed media quilter, using photo and printmaking techniques, dying and a variety of other materials to illustrate her storytelling on fabric.

Michel Delgado grew up in Senegal, on the west coast of Africa. There life and art shared the same space. He now has studios in Key West and Chicago and has won numerous awards, grants and honors.

Tim Adebule, nicknamed “Bushman #1” is an Artist/painter living in Orlando. He operates the Three Masks Art Gallery and Event Center, with the motto. “Sharing Africa from Within.”
